City Government
The Village of Farwell Board meets at the Farwell Fire Hall the first Tuesday of each month at 8 p.m. The board consists of four board members and one chairperson. There are three positions that are village employed - village clerk, treasurer, and water commissioner. Farwell also has its own planning and zoning board.

Water
The Village of Farwell provides and maintains the city water and sewer. The recently updated, metered water supply runs at approximately 400-500 gallons per minute from two wells. Garbage is collected by a private company but is billed with the water and sewer.
